Concrete “Athletes” – Reinforced concrete panels with positively casted figures

Condition:
Surface contamination is evident, along with superficial erosion of the concrete that has revealed severely corroded metal fittings. There are traces of hardened and yellowed epoxy resin or other material, as well as residual material from the mould or the insulation. In the lower section of the work, there are traces of mounting foam, a light fixture, and other elements that were likely attached when the facade was being formed. -

In order to protect this work, it is necessary to clean, strengthen the concrete surface, treat the corroded fittings, and remove the traces of previous installations. In order to better present this work to the public, it is necessary to provide for its regular maintenance and security; install lights for illumination; and add a plaque with the artist, title and year.
