Description – Analysis of the Type, Style & Iconography :
The sgraffito covers the entire dead wall, which faces outwards towards a panoramic square. It was implemented in four colours – black, red, ocher and beige-white – however, it appears to be made of entirely new materials and different colours after its restoration in 2018. There is a signature in the lower right corner but its authenticity is questionable given that it was not visible prior to the restoration and there are new layers of plaster applied above it.

Condition:
The sgraffito appears to be in a stable state of preservation: there is no evidence of water damage or other forms of visible damage. The walls are clean and the area is well maintained, including the adjacent “panoramic square” which has been renewed and nicely designed. -
Conservation / Restoration: The sgraffito was “restored” in 2018 by a team led by Milen Djanovski, the artist of the original work. However, the restoration was not faithful to the original as there is a change in the texture of the finishing layer and of the colours. Thе original colours, found in the profile of the plaster, were dark red, umber, and white. During the restoration, the plaster colours were changed to dark gray, light umber, and white, and whose surface may have been toned.
