    17. Description – Analysis of the Type, Style & Iconography :
      The mosaic, located on the entire western facade of the “Bacho Kiro” Primary School, is made of natural stone in eight colours (white, grey, light grey-green, ocher, green, brown, light umber and red) arranged and mounted on panels. The connections between the panels are clearly visible, with tesserae in the process of detaching from the base.

      The mosaic is in an unstable structural condition due to movement in the connecting areas of the panels, poor adhesion to the foundation, and water damage. These issues have led to an ongoing process of tesserae separation, resulting in a significant accumulation on the ground. A metal molding and anchors are visible in the lower part of the work, likely serving as panel attachments, and there is a drainage pipe fixed onto the mosaic. A portion of the mosaic in the upper right corner is black from water damage.

      In order to preserve this work, it is necessary to: stabilize and strengthen the mosaic elements; repair the joints; and fill the gaps. In order to better present this work to the public, it is necessary to: provide for its regular maintanance and security; install lights for illumination; and add a plaque with the artist, title and year.
